GET INVOLVED
Getting plugged in at the CSC is easy! The Christian Student Center is open every day for students to hang out and study, and there are several opportunities every week to become involved in the life of our ministry. Below are just some of the regular activities and events that we'd love for you to come check out and be a part of!
Weekly Gatherings
Sunday Class & Worship
Sundays @ 9:30 AM & 10:30 AM
Start your week by diving into God's word alongside other college students at 9:30 a.m. at our supporting congregation, Laurel Church of Christ. Our Sunday class is discussion-driven, practical, and designed to help you grow in your understanding of Scripture.
Â
After class, we join the Laurel church family at 10:30 for worship. It's an opportunity to worship alongside believers of all ages and be part of a church that loves and supports our college ministry.
Â
Rides to Laurel are available from the CSC at 9:15.
Women's & Men's DiscipleshipÂ
Thursdays @ 6:00 PM & 7:00 PM
Grow deeper in your walk with Christ through gender-specific discipleship groups led by trusted volunteers from our supporting church. These groups focus on spiritual growth, accountability, prayer, and living out your faith in everyday life.Â

Women: Thursdays, 6 p.m. @ CSC
Men: Thursdays, 7 p.m. @ CSC

After men's discipleship, several students head over to Laurel's gym to play basketball each Thursday at 8:30 p.m.Â
Student Small Groups
Tuesdays @ 7:30 PM
Gather with a small group of students at the CSC each Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to study Scripture, ask honest questions, and encourage one another in faith. These groups are led by students and provide a place to build meaningful friendships while growing together.Â
Dinner & Summit Worship
Wednesdays @ 6:00 PM & 7:00 AM
Come enjoy a free meal and spend time with friends at the CSC each Wednesday night at 6, followed by a time of worship, biblically-rooted teaching, and prayer at 7. This is a time for students to be encouraged and uplifted spiritually by connecting to God and connecting to a community.
Other Regular Events
Friday Fun
Every Other Friday
Friday Fun is exactly what it sounds like- a chance to relax, have fun, and build friendships. Every other Friday, we get together for activities like game nights, bonfires, hikes, ice skating, movie nights, or exploring all that Knoxville has to offer. While these evenings aren't designed to be spiritual or religious in nature, they are an important part of our community. We believe meaningful relationships are often built through shared experiences, laughter, and simply sharing life together. Whether you're brand new or have been around for years, Friday Fun is a great chance to connect and make lasting friendships!
Tailgates & Watch Parties
Tennessee Game Days
Tailgates and Watch Parties are some of our favorite traditions during football season! Whether we're gathering before a home game or cheering on the Vols together from the big screen at the CSC, these events are a fun way to experience the excitement of Tennessee football while building community. Bring your school spirit, invite a friend, enjoy great food, and make memories together!Â

For home games, the CSC will typically put in for tickets as a group, and will walk over to Neyland from the CSC and sit together at the game!
Weekend Retreats
Fall & Spring
Retreats are a chance to step away from the busyness of college life and spend intentional time with God and one another. Each fall and spring, we head out together for a weekend of worship, biblical teaching, small group discussions, recreation, and meaningful conversations. Whether you're looking to deepen your faith, build lasting friendships, or simply take a break from the demands of the semester, our retreats are often some of the most impactful and memorable weekends of the year!
Service & Missions
Throughout the Year
Service is at the heart of what it means to follow Jesus. Throughout the year, we look for opportunities to love our neighbors through local service opportunities. This includes a full week annually that we set aside called "Service Week," where we strive to make a concentrated impact on our community.
Â
We also have several students each year that choose to give up their Spring Break to go and serve on a short-term mission trip with the CSC. In 2027, we will be going to Orlando, FL to work with "Give Kids the World Village," an amazing non-profit resort that provides cost-free wish vacations for children (and their families) with critical illnesses.
Intramural Sports
Throughout the Year
Intramural Sports are a fun way to stay active, enjoy some friendly competition, and build friendships outside of our regular gatherings. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to have a good time, everyone is welcome to join in!
Â
Even if sports just isn't your thing, come be a part of the CSC fan section and cheer the team on!
Holiday Parties & Celebrations
Throughout the Year
From Christmas parties and Halloween festivities to Super Bowl watch parties and other seasonal celebrations, we love finding reasons to gather and enjoy life together. These events are filled with good food, games, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends. College is a season worth celebrating, and we want every student to have a place where they feel at home.
Gulf Coast Getaway
MLK Weekend
Gulf Coast Getaway is one of the highlights of our year. Every January before the spring semester begins, we travel down to the Gulf Coast and join hundreds of other college students from campus ministries across the country for a weekend of passionate worship, biblical teaching, and encouragement to begin the new semester with a renewed focus on Jesus.Â

Along with the conference sessions, there's plenty of time to enjoy the beach, relax, and make memories with friends. It's the perfect way to recharge spiritually, deepen friendships, and start the semester with purpose.
